Why You Should Stop Chasing Success ?

I have reached a point in my life where I no longer climb success mountains. I’m not chasing titles or statuses. I’m more focused on being significant and living a fulfilled life. I spent the majority of my life chasing what success is or what others think it should be and still was running in circles. My whole reasoning behind a lot of my decisions was to prove to others I was successful, worthy, popular, etc. I was focused on climbing the ladder of success as well by chasing titles. The problem is, once you achieve it, you stand around looking for what’s next. You see, when success isn’t based on your own desires, fulfillment’s and happiness, as you achieve them you still feel empty and the feeling never lasts. When you understand that success is short lived, you change your focus from chasing success to chasing things of significance. So for me, I no longer measure my success against others, chase titles, and tie my self-worth to my accomplishments. I clearly understand what I bring to the table, my value, who I belong to and therefore have nothing to prove. So listen….you don’t have to prove yourself to others, chase success, try to do the next best thing, or be any and everything to everyone. Self reflect, understand your gifts, your value and just BE YOU! Your gifts and value will open doors for you that you would have never imagined.
